The dashboard below was a product of a collaborative research study conducted by FHI 360, entitled Education in Emergencies (EiE) and Technology: Data Collection, Processing, and Use. In partnership with the research lead, I spearheaded the conceptual and technical development, as well as visual design of the dashboard. Through a series of usability tests with EiE practitioners, we took the dashboard from low-fi prototypes on PowerBI to a final product on Google Looker Studio. The final dashboard catalogues examples and insights of the use of data technologies in education in emergencies (EiE) to allow practitioners to i) compare across technologies, ii) examine insights by technologies, iii) identify tools for EiE, and iv) identify use cases of those tools in practice.
Towards the end of the project, we collaborated extensively with the EdTech Hub to finalize the dashboard and make it available on their website: https://edtechhub.org/edtech-tools/ed-data-tools/.
To disseminate key research findings from the study
To leverage new technologies to create a global public good for EiE practitioners
To support EiE practitioners in finding and sharing technologies for processing, collecting, and using data
